Elan Chicas rider Morena Makar wins in Korea

From 12th – 13th of January the Korean resort of Konjiam was hosting the LG Serveone, a Asian Snowboard FIS Cup event. Elan Chicitas member Morena Makar from Croatia took the chance to practice her pipe riding skills for the upcoming FIS World Cup hosted in Gujo, Japan. At the end of the day these “practice session” ended in her fist contest victory of the 08.09 season. ‘’This was one of the best competitions I have ever attended! Really good organization, royal treatment of the riders – everything on a really high level!”, explains a happy Morena and continuous, “The pipe itself was not shaped perfectly so I decided for a safe run – and won! I’m really happy!!’’ Her winning run consisted of clean tricks such as FS Air, FS 360, Cab 360 and Air to Fakie. The 23-year old Morena left Korea with a big smile and 1600 Euros cash reward to participate in the FIS World Cup event in Japan.
