The first Elan Snowboards started popping out of our factory as far back as 1988. Snowboarding wasn’t even considered cool back then. Further down the line, our R&D department came up with innovations including the first twin-tip shape, the first inserts and full wrap edges – developments that truly changed the course of our sport, making it killer in the process. Today, the Elan Snowboards factory, located in the heart of the Austrian Alps, is the most cutting edge factory in the world. Always pushing the envelope, Elan Snowboards continues to offer superior quality and performance.
“Our Elan Snowboards are manufactured and handcrafted in our Elan snowboards factory in the Austrian Alps. That way, we have total control over the quality and performance of all of our products. It’s such an advantage for our riders and product managers to be able to come straight off the mountain and into the factory to give feedback on what works and what doesn’t – both functionally and aesthetically speaking. A lot of other companies and riders don’t have that Luxury of proximity, and that reflects directly on their products. "
