Conny's blog update: Mondial Du Snowboard & Jeevice Team Week - Les 2 Alpes 26.10. - 02.11.06 It was my first time at the "Mondial du Snowboard" and it's crazy!! We - Silvi, Aline and I - arrived there on Thursday night and we went straight to the Pirates party, where everybody was dressed as a pirate except us. But we drank like pirates: ruhm! Not too much because we knew that two party nights gonna follow. On Friday morning the blue bird was on and we had a great day on the mountain - jumping the medium kicker line and shooting with Jarek, a talented Polish photographer. Unfortunately my best friend Silvi tore her ACL in the end. In the evening there was the KIUU (new French underwear brand) meeting and I had some glasses of good champagne. After that I went back to our apartment, where all the Jeevice girls and friends gathered and drank on... I won't go in detail: the party went on until 4 o'clock in the morning in Smokey Joe's and L'Avalache. After three hours of sleep Aline and I went up to the mountain to coach some girls - that was we were here for: the Jeevice Girls Coaching Sessions. It was a lot of fun and the girls improved a lot within the two hours. In the afternoon there was a 686 team meeting, where - this time - we got some cool stuff instead of drinking champagne ;-) but that doesn't mean that we stayed sober! The night began with watching the Rail Jam followed by the Misschief Premiere & party in L'Avanlache. I even beat the last two nights up and partied until 6 o'clock. In spite of everything we went up to the mountain and were coaching the girls again until the afternoon. Although all in all it was a blast - we were happy that the festival was over and were looking forward to the relaxed week we had before us. Unfortunately we had bad luck with the conditions: either the weather sucked, or the gondola was closed the whole day, or the wind was too strong, or in the end of the week the park was made of pure shimmer ice... So we had only one day where we could shoot some cut-backs in the slushy side of the pipe. At our way home - we decided to drive the whole night - we were running out of gas at midnight somewhere in Switzerland. C'est la vie! Conny
