We've been riding so much pow in Whistler that X-Games came real quick this year. I was a bit disappointed that the pipe didn't have any pillow lines or cliff drops. I rolled in to Aspen with my good Canadian partners Mercedes Nicoll and Brad Martin. The X-Games show began with pipe practice and on the first day, it was pretty much perfect. It was nice to see all my friends and watching slope, moto and BX live. But honestly, we all usually bundle-up in the Riders tent on the couches while eating food when we're not practicing. So Thursday was the ladies pipe elimination and things didn't go as planned and I bailed on both runs, so my X-contest was pretty short lived. That night we all went out to the Oakley Castle for dinner and then we took a limo with all the girls to the Target Mansion. Yup, living it up the rich and famous way while I'm out here. The next day was Ladies Slope finals and Pipe finals as well and I've got to say that the pipe contest that night really stepped-it up for all of Women's snowboarding. From Torah's technical run, Kelly's front-side 1080 attempt to Gretchen's winning run. WOW!!! Yesterday was SLOPE finals, BX and pipe eliminations and my dear friend Brad ate it so hard in the pipe I can't believe we all partied together till 5 in the morning at the Monster party on top of the mountain. Perhaps when his hang-over kicks in this morning he might be pretty sore to do anything today. Last day of X-Games today and for the first time the sun isn't shining strong. Men's pipe finals tonight so don't miss it on expn.com for live video. Leaving for Vegas tomorrow morning for SIA. Oh boy!!!! Sorry no photos from here, I'll catch-up in Vegas for the party shots.
