The first Elan Snowboards started popping out of our factory as far back as 1988. snowboarding wasn’t even considered cool back then. Further down the line, our R&D department came up with innovations including the first twin-tip shape, the first inserts and full wrap edges – developments that truly changed the course of our sport, and making it killer in the process. Today, the elan snowboards factory, located in the heart of the Alps, is the most cutting edge factory in the world. Always pushing the envelope, elan snowboards continues to offer superior product quality and performance.
Eco Woodcore
Elan Snowboards is committed to sourcing wood in the most environmentally responsible way for use in our snowboard woodcores. So what does the Eco Woodcore label actually mean?
By sourcing our wood from Slovenia – home to the world’s second largest forestal – and other countries implementing reforestation policies, we ensure we don’t contribute to the irresponsible felling of trees. From a more hands-on perspective and joined by our members of our team and the PLab, Elan Snowboards is also committed to planting new trees in accordance with national programs aimed at increasing forestal capacities. Finally, our woodcore production processes also correspond to ISO 14001, one of the world’s highest environmental management standards.
Ride an Eco Woodcore this winter – you know it makes sense.
