By building a 3D wave pattern into the top sheet of the board, Elan’s WaveFlex™ technology effectively addresses the longstanding issue of longitudinal flex versus torsional stability. The shape of the waves creates little longitudinal resistance while providing excellent torsional support. WaveFlex™ technology allows Elan to build a board that features a medium longitudinal flex combined with a torsionally stiffer flex.
