By using two different types of material to create the ankle area of the boot, we have created a Flex Window that allows the boot to flex in the most natural way. Soft material is used in the joint area to increase flex and improve mobility where we want the boot to flex, resulting in undisputed support and comfort.
This reinforcement of the rear portion of the boot is not visible from the outside, but its contribution can be felt. The Back Lay Support is made using a seamless 3d plastic inset that improves durability and provides support, and shaped for optimum flexes and the reduction of pressure points.
A Tongue Pull Strap is directly fixed to the upper tongue. When the strap is pulled, the tongue releases the lacing giving your foot free entrance or exit to the boot.
The EVA shock absorption material layer enhances impact dampening while superior traction provides steady footing in even the iciest conditions.
Our Soft Back Cuff made from plush material eliminates all pressure points from the back lay support of our boots and dramatically increases comfort.
LACE SMART™ is our new user-friendly quick lace system allowing for fast tightening / releasing and easy in and out of our Vector boot. This system optimizes rider comfort and performance with a focus on simplicity and effectiveness. Tightening is as easy as pulling the lace up and onto the side in the locked position and the release mechanism is easy to use with the effective push up locker. Click the locker and the laces release. click and when lace can move and be released.
The Fifty – Fifty outer shell of the boot is designed using two separate pieces of material in the ankle area. The benefit of this feature is that when the boot is flexing forward the two pieces slide smoothly improving flex and eliminating the spreading of the boot in the tongue region.
The Ultra Hook enhances the overall lacing of the boot. With smooth edges to prevent lace damage and improve lacing function, the Ultra hook also enhances the ease of inserting the lace. The Ultra hook provides more lace power and stronger lace hold for maximum support.
These two power straps are located on the upper boot and are designed to enhance fit. The first is located in the upper area, and the second in the toe area. Using the power straps further tightens the boot, providing an efficient transfer of energy from the leg to the boot and then to the snowboard edge.
